Each action you make, whether it's sitting at th e computer typing, reaching for the mouse, holding the phone, carrying a baby, raking leaves or getting groceries out of the car, you're engaging muscles to do the work. Your muscles require oxygen to function. It's their reward or salary if you will. Depriving them will only make them angry and eventually they will be replaced with a cheaper grade of tissue that does not require oxygen to work. But this tissue is not flexible, it burns and makes crunchy sounds when you rub it. A better solution, thank your muscles for the work they've done the minute they've done it. Do it with a stretch or motion to improve blood flow (blood contains oxygen!). Like buying on credit, all bills eventually have to be paid and it's easier to pay as you go.
